Be sure to watch this dance routine and have fun!
If you are also a tap dancer, please bring your tap shoes as well to the audition; we will teach you a brief variation after the dance linked above. |
In order to be considered for a role, you must also attend a MANDATORY dance audition on Friday, 2/7 from 2:45-5:00 pm in the Freshman Campus Forum Room (regardless if you have a callback or not). For the dance audition: This audition is for all participates, regardless of a callback. If you want to be cast at all in the show, you must attend. If there is a reason you have to leave early, please be sure to coordinate that with Mr. Pontarelli at the audition. We understand that V-Show might be a slight conflict. If this is for you, just audition in the first group and you will be good. Be sure to learn the dance that is linked above. All must bring proper shoe entire (good gym shoe/jazz shoe). No socks/bare feet. If you know how to tap dance, please also bring your tap shoes.
Dancers: If you are looking to audition as a dancer only, this is the only audition you will need to attend. Just make sure you specify that at the audition. No signup needed, just learn the dance and attend at the beginning. Please though be sure to fill out the Google Form above and bring a signed permission slip.

Frequently Asked Question -
Is this a big dance show?
Yes, it is. Tons of fun moments in Spamalot.
Are you taking a big cast?
Yes. Of course, it always depends on who comes out. Lots of parts in this show!
What numbers are the featured dancers in?
"Fisch Schlapping" Song, "Not Dead Yet", "The Knights of the Round Table", "Find Your Grail", "Laker Girls" number, "Run Away" song as Can-Can Dancer, "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life", "Can't Succeed in ShowBiz", "Lancelot" and end of show moment.
Am I called for when it says "All Cast"?
Yes, you are a person in the cast; therefore, you are needed. Unless the director tells you otherwise, you are needed that day. If you do not attend enough all cast rehearsals, you may be subject to be dropped from the number or even the show. We do not have enough time to reteach people several numbers at a time. Dancers do not attend vocal rehearsals.
Do dancers attend vocal rehearsals?
No because you will not be singing in the show. You only attend choreography rehearsals and certain scenes where you are needed. Check details of the above calendar.
